Job summary

English Mountain Recovery in Sevierville, Tennessee seeks a Director of Nursing to lead nursing services and ensure safe, patient-centered care across the facility.

Must have a nursing degree and RN licensure with 3+ years of nursing leadership experience; psychiatric/behavioral health background preferred. Position is onsite with opportunities to influence policy and budget decisions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing preferred.
• Three or more years of nursing practice experience required; psychiatric/behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets the vision for nursing practice and manages daily operations.
• Collaborates with leadership to prioritize issues and allocate resources.
• Develops and implements nursing policies and procedures per standards and regulations.
• Maintains staffing plans to meet census and acuity while controlling overtime.
• Oversees medication management, inventories, and pharmacist collaboration.
• Provides supervision through hiring, orientation, performance reviews and coaching.
• Leads infection control and safety programs and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Participates in budgeting, strategic planning, and program development.
