Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Nursing Coordinator for our Endocrinology practice. You will act as liaison between providers and patients, triaging calls, coordinating care, and educating patients.

Under the direction of the Practice Manager and clinical leads, you will manage scheduling, authorizations, and protocol-driven activities with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care. An RN license is required; endocrinology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program (required).
• Preferred: Bachelor of Degree in Nursing.
• Current PA RN license, Healthcare Provider CPR, and Act 33/73 clearances.
• Endocrinology or Diabetes Management experience preferred; 1 year RN practice in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Triages phone calls and coordinates patient care within Endocrinology practice.
• Handles medication refills, scheduling of procedures, and obtaining authorizations.
• Serves as liaison between providers and patients and educates patients per protocols.

No Weekends or Holidays Under the administrative direction of the Practice Manager and clinical direction of the providers, the Nursing Coordinator is responsible to provide nursing care and coordination of services to our Endocrinology patients by serving as a liaison between providers and patients. The Coordinator's assignments include, but are not limited to, triaging phone calls, medication refills, scheduling of procedures, obtaining authorizations, and adjustments following written protocols, and patient education. Performs clinical duties as assigned.

Education:
Minimum: Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program
Preferred: Bachelor of Degree in Nursing

Registration/Certification/Licensure:
Current PA RN license, Healthcare Provider CPR, and Act 33/73 clearances

Experience:
Minimum: None
Preferred: Endocrinology or Diabetes Management experience. One year RN experience in a practice or healthcare facility.
