Nursing Clinical Skills Specialist

Position: Nursing Clinical Skills Specialist
Location: Villanova, PA
Position Type: Staff
Schedule: Casual/Seasonal
Hours: <20 hrs per week
Department: 232-Nursing
Salary: $29.97-31.64/hr

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource to support students, faculty, and staff with simulation activities in the Dee Adams Center for Innovation and Simulation Excellence using Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice.
• Assist with simulation event set-up and breakdown; facilitate simulation events including prebriefing and debriefing; assist with manikin scenario programming and fidelity; operate simulation‑related equipment (medication dispensing machines, electronic health record, etc.); troubleshoot equipment; participate in inventorying and replenishing supplies; seek resources for simulation experiences.
• Utilize nursing and simulation knowledge to assist the Executive Director and Associate Director in updating and maintaining simulation scenarios and related materials to remain current with nursing practice standards and Healthcare Standards of Best Practice.
• Support executive and associate directors with administrative responsibilities including evaluation/revision of simulation experiences; orient faculty and graduate students to simulation experiences; assist with student skill development.

Minimum Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a minimum of a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.
• Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting, oral and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service skills, ability to handle fast‑paced environment, manage multiple projects/tasks with varied deadlines and frequent interruptions, and strong problem‑solving ability.
• Knowledge and interest in nursing simulation technical applications; computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of computer operations, including SimMan and/or other high‑fidelity manikins; experience with audio‑visual recording systems and LCD projectors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s of Science in Nursing.
• Minimum three (3) years of teaching experience and/or experience working with simulation models.
