Avera Marshall Hospital is offering a paid nursing internship opportunity for students enrolled in an accredited RN program. The internship rotates through Med/Surg, Long Term Care, Behavioral Health, ED and Labor/Delivery from May 2027 to August 2027, with varied 12-hour shifts and a wage of $20 per hour.

The Minnesota Nurse Practice Act requires nursing student interns to be enrolled in a nursing program whenever performing nursing functions. Because the foundation of our internship program is RN‑mentored clinical experience, we can only extend offers to candidates who are willing to enroll in a Minnesota school’s internship course and pay any associated tuition costs or fees. The nursing program must have an affiliation agreement with Fairview. Please discuss this with your school faculty and contact us if you have questions. Nursing Service at Avera requires all nurses and student nurses to practice at a competent level of nursing care and demonstrate a competent and professional level of behavior in the role. The Nurse Clinical Intern, under the direction and guidance of a Registered Nurse mentor, is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide nursing care for the patient, assuming responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered.
