Job Description

Job Summary: Teaches nursing courses in a clinical/lab environment; maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field. Provides instruction in practical applications of nursing in the clinical setting and skills lab; Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports required for clinical; ensures safety and security requirements are met in the discipline area; meets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students' progress. Requires strong computer skills, communication skills, and ability to interact effectively with a diverse student population. Position may require committee and project assignments or other duties as assigned as well as day, evening, and weekend clinicals and activities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Registered Nursing from an accredited institution and demonstrated competence/experience in the teaching discipline.
  • Valid Georgia RN license and current BLS (CPR) Certification from the American Heart Association
  • Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in the past 7 years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Registered Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Teaching experience in postsecondary education.
  • Recent teaching experience.
Salary/Benefits

$32.00 per hour
