Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY is seeking Nursing Attendants for Night shifts to provide compassionate bedside care, monitor vitals, assist with meals, and transport patients, helping to keep fast-paced units running smoothly.

Qualified applicants are enrolled in a BSN program with clinical rotations or have CNA certification, possess a HS diploma or GED, and hold BLS training from the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in BSN program with at least one clinical rotation.
• Certified nursing assistant training with CNA certification.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS training from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient focus and bedside care.
• Monitor temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure.
• Assist with meals delivery and safe patient transport.
• Collaborate with Nurses, ICU Technicians and other care team members.

ED & Float Pool Nursing Attendant - Nights - 9/23/26 & 9/24/26 Virtual Interview Event - Columbia University Irving Medical Center

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.

Key Criteria

• Qualified candidates are currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) program and have completed at least one clinical rotation or will have previous certified nurses aide or nursing attendant experience, plus certification through an approved, accredited certified nurses aide training program.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS Training from the American Heart Association required.
