Job summary

The Sioux Falls VA Medical Center is seeking Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate, hands-on care for Veterans. You will assist in daily living activities, support safety and infection-control standards, and work as part of a collaborative team focused on excellence.

Applicants may be referred before all requirements are met under the Grandfathering Provision. Some positions require progress through GS-3 to GS-5 levels with supervision and training to support patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Six months general experience or one year education above high school related to NA.
• English proficiency and US citizenship as required for direct patient care.
• Grandfathering provisions may apply for current VA employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient/resident care under supervision.
• Promote safety and infection-control standards.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing tasks.
• Document care provided as directed by licensed staff.

Skills
