Job summary

Adventist Health White Memorial in Los Angeles seeks a compassionate helper to greet visitors, prepare and maintain medical records, and assist nursing staff. You will respond to patient requests, route reports, and support scheduling and chart assembly to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• One year's relevant experience: Preferred
• Unit Secretary training course: Preferred
• Experience in a hospital or medical office setting: Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required

Responsibilities

• Provides personal nursing care to the medical/surgical patient population under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Performs clerical duties including routing patient reports and assembling charts.
• Assists in scheduling patient procedures and maintains patient flow.
• Collects data and performs audits; reports patient status to the RN.

Education

High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

One year's relevant experience: Preferred
