Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center in Northern California is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support the Ortho/Neuro department during night shifts. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, delivering basic nursing care, and helping maintain a safe patient environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team.

Qualified candidates will hold a CNA certificate (preferred) with current BLS, and ideally have six months of acute care or physician’s office

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred

Responsibilities

The Nurse Assistant in the Ortho / Neuro Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
