Stillwater Medical Center Healthcare Authority is seeking a Nurse Assistant/NA or Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join the Surgical Unit. This PRN position features a 12-hour day shift (7:00a–7:00p), with holidays on rotation and weekends as needed.

Here's the details:

• This position is PRN
• 12 hr Day shift (7:00a-7:00p).

JOB SUMMARY:

Assists in the care and support of the patient, utilizing technical nursing skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant training course or acceptable patient care experience in a hospital, nursing home, or related health care facility
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to function in stressful situations
• Current CPR card or completion with in 30 days of employment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking and standing
• Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read and write
• Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the phone
• Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care
• Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel
• Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: finger stick blood sugars, vital signs, feed patients, and handle instruments)
• Able to work in latex burdened environment
