Job summary

Munson Healthcare is hiring a Nursing Assistant for the Day Shift in Traverse City, MI. This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus and a chance to support patients and clinical staff in a caring community hospital.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the care team to ensure comfort and safety. CPR certification and vaccination requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Performs basic patient care and comfort tasks.
• Completes personal hygiene tasks for patients.
• Collects specimens and monitors vital signs.
• Transports patients between departments and documents observations.
• CPR certification obtained/maintained; may require lifting over 35 pounds.
• Vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and annual flu vaccine required.

A Nursing Assistant's responsibilities may include:

• Performing basic patient care needs and services essential to caring for the patients' personal and comfort needs
• Complete personal hygiene
• Collecting specimens
• Assisting patients with daily walking and exercise
• Transporting patients between departments
• Observing, reporting and recording vital signs of the patient

Obtain/Maintain CPR certification in adult maneuvers (child and infant may be required by some departments) at all times.
May be required to lift more than 35 pounds.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
