Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg/Telemetry unit in Victorville, CA. This is an unlicensed role assisting with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team.

Ideal candidates hold a CNA certificate, BLS within 30 days of hire, and knowledge of medical terminology; six months of acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Assistant assists with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintains a safe patient environment and assists in care activities in Med Surg/Telemetry.
• Supports the team with non-clinical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
