Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking a patient care assistant to work under an RN in a general nursing unit, caring for patients aged 15 through adulthood with varying needs. You will support ready-to-care tasks, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly.

Qualifications

Minimum education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
Preferred education: Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic or Medical Assisting course completed.

Required courses/completions (e.g., CPR): BLS certification obtained through approved training center.

Responsibilities

Under RN supervision, provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients.
Care units range from pediatric to geriatric, including maternity and nursery care.
Participates in patient activities and ensures comfort and safety of patients.
Performs duties in emergency, surgical, and other service areas as assigned.
Supports clinical staff in patient care and observation.
