Job summary

East Liverpool City Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department. You will assist with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and help maintain a safe environment under RN supervision.

This full-time role requires a current CNA certificate, BLS within 30 days, knowledge of medical terminology, and preferably six months of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certificate upon hire is preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and kept current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months' experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
• Facility may require Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and kept current.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Assistant assists with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.

2. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

4. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

1. Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
