Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant for evening, part-time work in an inpatient setting. You will provide patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision and play a key role in daily living activities, ensuring the unit runs smoothly and patients receive high-quality support.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, ability to work 4-hour evening shifts, and adherence to safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred; maintains required competencies.
• ND: if not CNA, must be on the North Dakota Nurse Aide Registry within four months of employment or upon training completion.
• WI: if employed in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs.
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information.
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment.
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy.

Department Details

We are looking for someone who can work 5 days a week Monday - Friday covering 4 hour shifts during the evenings from 4pm-8pm. No weekends are required!

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific

competencies and certifications.

If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.

If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry with current work eligibility.
