Three A (3A) is an Acuity Adaptable floor located at our Bayhealth Kent Campus in Dover. The unit is a 20 bed unit that cares for a variety of medically complex conditions including stroke, stroke like symptoms, telemetry, cardiac drips, continuous bipap and more. 3A is a certified stroke unit and staff on this floor are required to become NIHSS certified. 3A participates in the Nurse Residency Program and is a great place for new or experienced nurses.
The Nursing Assistant position involves delivering clinical nursing services to patients. The Nursing Assistant functions under the supervision of a licensed nurse or therapist, providing care that does not require the judgment and skills of a licensed professional. After competency verification, the nursing assistant may deliver patient care services to the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The care may include, but is not limited to, the following: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulating, transferring, feeding, observing, and reporting the general well-being of the person(s) to whom they are providing care. Coordinates clerical duties of a diverse and confidential nature to maintain the efficiency of patient care areas.
Department team members are authorized to have limited access to secured medication rooms to perform duties and responsibilities as defined in this job description. Any staff member requiring limited access to secured medication rooms must have a fully completed and signed Medication Security Agreement for Non-Licensed Personnel form on file and available upon request.
