Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a nursing assistant to work alongside physicians and nurses in delivering advanced primary and specialty nursing services. The role involves supporting patients with daily activities, bathing, meals, transportation, and basic treatments while maintaining a safe, compassionate environment.

You will conduct routine vital signs, assist with catheterized or sterile procedures as directed, and support families to ensure a positive experience during care.

Responsibilities

• Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities.
• Serves and collects food trays and provides between-meal nourishment.
• Changes bed linen, runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies.
• Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.
• Measures and records patients' vital signs such as temperature or pulse and provides basic treatment.
• Ensures a safe care environment for the patients and their families.
• Performs continuous rounds and check-ins throughout the shift to ensure patient and family needs are met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
