Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination and nutritional needs.
• Provide routine treatments and maintain a safe, clean, neat, and organized patient environment.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality for patients, families, and staff.
• Follow standard precautions and wash hands between patients.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Take and record vital signs and related observations as directed.
• Obtain data and document pertinent patient information per Baptist Health policies.
• Communicate safety concerns to RN or other team members.
• Support handoff reports and hourly rounding; provide exceptional service to patients and families.
• Demonstrate competency in unit-specific tasks and maintain a clean, safe nursing unit.
• Handle phone calls, patient requests, and transport items and medications throughout the facility.
