Job summary

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Western Massachusetts Hospital, seeks attentive Nursing Assistants I for full- and part-time roles to support residents with daily living activities and to monitor health needs under supervision of a nurse.

Shifts include 7:00AM-3:30PM, 3:00PM-11:30PM, and 11:15PM-7:15AM with overtime and every-other weekend. Ideal candidates communicate changes in condition, assist with exams, and maintain accurate records while upholding safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written/oral instructions and communicate changes in condition.
• Team-based work in a clinical setting.
• Comfort working with residents under physical and emotional stress.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents including activities of daily living.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and other health information.
• Accompany residents to appointments and assist with examinations.
• Support nurses and physicians with treatments and positioning as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and contribute to the Nursing Care Plan.
