Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, is hiring a CNA/Nursing Assistant/Nurse Apprentice for our Heart & Vascular Step Down Unit. The 16-bed unit cares for post-operative heart surgery patients, in a fast-paced environment with leadership support and growth opportunities.

Night shift, 3 × 12-hour shifts, 7:00 pm–7:30 am, with varied schedule including weekends and holidays. You will assist with nursing care and perform clerical and patient service tasks under supervision,

Qualifications

• CNA certification issued by the State of Idaho or current Nurse Apprentice application on file.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification at hire.
• Six months CNA experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical staff at unit level by performing clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.
• Provide nursing care and related non-professional services under supervision of a licensed nurse.
