Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital in Bronxville is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for the night shift (11:00pm – 7:15am). You will work at bedside as a vital care provider, supporting nurses and other staff while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, assisting with meals and transport, and helping maintain a clean, calm, and compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• One year in acute care setting preferred or certified long term care Nursing Assistant.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association (BLS).
• Previous Nurse's aide experience in a hospital setting or certification or enrolled in BSN program at junior year.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure and temperature, assist with meals and safe patient transport.
• Provide compassionate patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment on the unit.

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve patient experience and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration, and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.

This is a part‑time night shift position covering the hours of 11 :00pm - 7:15am with rotating weekends and holidays at NewYork -Presbyterian Westchester Hospital in Bronxville; right across from the Metro North Station.

Preferred Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED

Required Criteria

• One year in acute care setting preferred or certified long term care Nursing Assistant
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association (BLS)
• Previous Nurse's aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing, at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum
