Job summary

Providence Seaside Hospital is seeking a per-diem nursing support role under direct supervision to assist the bedside RN and charge nurse in delivering safe and patient-centered care in a dynamic environment.

The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, hazard-free space and clear communication to meet patient and family needs while supporting the emergency services team and upholding Providence's standards of compassionate care.

Qualifications

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Coursework/Training: Medical Terminology Course, Or Successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
  • 6 months of Health care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist bedside RN and charge nurse to ensure a safe and secure environment for patient, family and providers.
  • Maintain a hazard-free, clean environment to facilitate patient-focused care.
  • Maintain clear communication between patient needs and the RN/Charge Nurse.
  • Support Providence Seaside Hospital operations during shifts.

Description

Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties assigned to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Charge Nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
