Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patients with personal care, mobility, and comfort under clinical staff supervision. You will assist with daily activities, observe and report vital signs, and help transport patients across departments.

No prior experience required—Munson Medical Center offers comprehensive, paid orientation and training to help you succeed from day one. A CPR certification is required, and a HS diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR certification must be obtained/maintained at all times.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds may be required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Job Description

• Performing basic patient care needs and services essential to caring for the patients' personal and comfort needs
• Complete personal hygiene
• Collecting specimens
• Assisting patients with daily walking and exercise
• Transporting patients between departments
• Observing, reporting and recording vital signs of the patient

Qualifications

• Obtain/Maintain CPR certification in adult maneuvers (child and infant may be required by some departments) at all times.
• May be required to lift more than 35 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
