Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Essentia Living Center in Minnesota. You will deliver direct care to residents, assist with activities of daily living, and observe for changes in conditions, reporting to the shift nurse. A focus on safety and a clean environment is essential.

Responsibilities include helping with hygiene, nutrition support, and ensuring residents’ safety during night shifts. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and a reliable schedule.

• Must be aware of and prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health skilled nursing facility.

Job Description:

Responsible for providing direct care to skilled nursing facility residents and for serving the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, within the scope of the nursing assistant role. Provides personal hygiene care, assists with providing for nutritional needs; recognizes and deals with the problems of the aging process, recognizes and promptly report changes in resident condition to shift nurse, and maintains a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents. Must be aware of and prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health skilled nursing facility. Maintains awareness of safety issues and strives to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner. Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective actions.

Education Qualifications:

Range of pay $22.50 - $29.25 - offer will be based on experience

Generous straight night shift diff of $5.50/hr

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:

Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry or obtains within 4 months of hire/ transfer date. If transitioning from the Nursing Assistant – Student position, must have registration upon hire/transfer.
