Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding, CA is seeking a Nursing Assistant in the Behavioral Health Unit to assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

This Per Diem night-shift role requires an unlicensed assistive person with knowledge of medical terminology; current CNA and BLS are preferred, with at least six months in acute care preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Nursing Assistant in the Behavioral Health Unit is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Pay Transparency

Shasta Regional Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $29.90. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
