Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Nursing Assistant to join the Healthcare Assistant team. The role involves supporting registered nurses, participating in patient care, and contributing to ward organisation while maintaining a safe and caring environment.

Key duties include hygiene checks, clinic flow, basic wound care, ECGs and minor procedures under supervision, with opportunities for further training and progression within the Trust.

Qualifications

• Delivery of patient care as part of a nursing team
• Ability to support ward/department organisation
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and visitors

Responsibilities

• Participates in the delivery of patient care
• Contributes towards ward/department organization
• Supports registered nurses in the provision of a safe and caring environment
• Act as a role model for student nurses and colleagues
• Stock maintenance / ordering
• Baseline assessments prior to consultation and escalation of deficits to senior staff
