Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for 5 South Med/Surg, daytime shifts in Bronxville, NY. The role supports bedside care, patient comfort, and collaboration with nurses and care partners in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, assisting with meals and transport, and maintaining safety, cleanliness, and a compassionate patient focus. On-site work with rotating schedules to cover weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• One year in acute care setting preferred or certified nursing assistant.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association (BLS) is required.
• Experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital setting or certification from an approved Nurse Aide program or currently enrolled in a BSN program with clinical practicum.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, and assist with meals and safe transport.
• Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and contribute to a positive patient experience.

This is apart timenightshift position covering the hours of 7:00am– 3:15pm with rotating weekends and holidays atNewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital in Bronxville; right across from the Metro North Station.

Preferred Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED

Required Criteria

• One year in acute care setting preferred or certified long term care Nursing Assistant
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association(BLS)
• PreviousNurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing, at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum
