Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 2BCE Intermediate Unit.

This full-time night position (36 hours weekly, 7pm-7am) offers benefit-eligible employment and the chance to work with an interdisciplinary team on a 34-bed PCU/intermediate unit with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Under supervision of a registered nurse, you will provide delegated patient care and assist with routine unit tasks to support high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
• Performs delegated patient care under nurse supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated aspects of patient care under the supervision of a nurse.
• Assist with routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support high-quality patient care.

Job Duties:

We are seeking a Nursing Assistantwho under general supervision and according to established procedures functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.

About the Unit:

The 2nd floor Intermediate Unit is a 34-bed unit specializing in Progressive Care (PCU) or intermediate nursing. With nurse-to-patient ratios (4:1), our team provides high-quality care to adult patients with complex medical needs. Our unit is composed both experienced and new graduate nurses; we work as an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient centric care. Our team continues building our reputation as a unit everyone wants to be a part of because of teamwork, clinical expertise, and a supportive environment.
