The Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks a Nursing Assistant (GS-5) to join the care team in Myrtle Beach, SC. You will provide direct patient care under supervision, assist with daily living activities, and support the treatment plan in preventive, acute, sub-acute, chronic and hospice settings.
Responsibilities include vital signs, phlebotomy under supervision, documentation in the EHR, and assisting with mobility, hygiene, and comfort.
The Nursing Assistant (NA) functions as a member of the nursing care team and assist licensed nursing staff in the care of patients/residents receiving preventive - acute - sub-acute chronic - maintenance - and hospice care. The NA at this level also assumes peer education/mentorship. Performs activities of daily living and provides a range of care that contributes to the Veteran's treatment plan - recovery - and wellness under the direction of a licensed health care provider.
