Job summary

Brightstar-Care-of-Temecula-and-Lake-Elsinore is seeking a compassionate Caregiver/Home Care Aide to assist clients with non-medical personal care in their homes or care settings. You will work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing to promote quality, continuity and safety of care.

This role does not provide medical or skilled services but requires excellent communication in English and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified CPR and current physical or T.B./PPD test.
• Minimum one year of documented experience.
• Licensed driver with reliable, insured transportation.
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively.

Position Responsibilities Summary

Caregiver/Home Care Aide is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client's needs. The Caregiver will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a client's care. This position will not perform any medical or skilled services. Services provided will be non-medical.

Personal Protective Equipment

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the ability of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Visual and hearing acuity required.

Environment

Contact with clients under a wide variety of circumstances. Care provided in client's living environment with varying situations or in an institution such as a hospital. May be required to respond to emergency situations. Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues.
