Job summary

Heritage at The Plains, a Sonida Senior Living community in Oneonta, NY, is seeking a Nursing Aide to support residents in independent living, assisted living, and memory care settings.

Per Diem – All shifts with a minimum of 1 holiday and 2 weekends per year. Wages range from $18.50 to $19.50 per hour, with flexible scheduling and opportunities to utilize advanced technology and training. Health insurance, 401k and other benefits are offered depending on employment status.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Preferred knowledge and experience in nursing or senior living, home health, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living, assistance with medication, treatments, and other care while encouraging self-care and independence.
• Escorts residents within the building and outside, as needed.
• Assists with setting up, serving meals and cleaning up afterwards.
• May assist with planning and executing activities for residents on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Treat residents with dignity and respect at all times.
