Job summary

710 Labs is looking for a detail-oriented Nursery Technician to support our cannabis propagation program. You will transplant rooted clones, maintain mother plants, prune vegetative growth, and water plants by hand while following strict sanitation and biosecurity protocols.

Reporting to the Nursery Lead, you will learn cultivar-specific growth, scout for pests, apply biostimulants and pesticides, and help with daily tasks in warm, humid rooms, contributing to our high-quality, small-batch

Qualifications

• Experience in cannabis propagation and cloning techniques.

• Ability to work in labor-intensive environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Transplant rooted clones into coco/soil.
• Top and prune vegetative plants.
• Take cuttings from mother plants and propagate into rockwool.
• Prune mother plants per cultivar needs.
• Prepare grow media for clones/transplants.
• Mix and apply biostimulants/pesticides via foliar sprays/drenches.
• Release beneficial/predatory insects.
• Irrigate by hand as needed.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented with prior experience in cannabis propagation and must be familiar with cloning techniques, watering plants by hand, and Mother plant care. The Nursery Technician will be reporting to the Nursery Lead/Manager for daily tasks.

Nursery Technicians will be required to learn how different cultivars/strains grow, and how to identify a variety of pests/pathogens. This is a labor-intensive position that requires good critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Transplanting rooted clones into coco /soil
• Topping and pruning vegetative plants
• Taking cuttings from Mother plants and propagating cuttings into rockwool
• Pruning Mother plants according to cultivar and cloning needs
• Preparing grow media for clones and/or transplants
• Mixing and applying biostimulants/pesticides via foliar sprays and drenches
• Releases beneficial/predatory insects
• Irrigating by hand according to plants size and needs
• Following strict biosecurity protocols, maintaining sanitation of tools, workspace, and person
• Working at a fast pace under warm and humid conditions - vegetative rooms average 75+ degrees and 65%+ relative humidity
• Cleaning tables, mopping floors, and washing nursery dishes/equipment
• Standing/squatting/bending with arms extended for long periods of time
• Affixing METRC tags to plant lots and individual plants
• Scouting for and reporting any pests and pathogens (powdery mildew, botrytis)
• Any other task assigned by the Nursery Manager or Director of Cultivation
• Perform basic mathematical calculations converting various units of measurements
• Escalate issues to appropriate channels using clear written/verbal communication
• Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including a Full Face Respirator and Coverall Suit when handling various chemicals and pesticides.
• Must be able to work a weekly Saturday or Sunday shift after the training period is completed

Compensation + Benefits

• Pay Range: $22.00/hour - $23.00/hour
• Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, Life/AD&D, 401K with company match, paid time off, and holidays.
