Job summary

Childbase Partnership is hiring a Nursery Practitioner for lunch cover at West Downs Day Nursery, Winchester. This part-time, permanent role offers two daily windows (10:00-14:00 or 11:00-15:00) across 20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Applicants should have caring experience with babies and under-fives and ideally a DfE early years qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for babies and children aged five and under (early years environment preferred).
• Knowledge of child development and EYFS principles to support planned activities and observations.
• Commitment to safeguarding and creating a safe, happy environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Assist during lunch cover with supervision and engaging activities.
• Support learning journeys by contributing observations and helping implement planned activities.
• Ensure children's wellbeing, safety and inclusion during nursery operations.
