Crossings Community Church is seeking a part-time Nursery Caregiver for Mayfair to provide loving care to infants and toddlers (0-3 years) during Sunday services and events. The role requires arriving early, greeting families, and following safety procedures as outlined by the Nursery Supervisor.

Qualifications

• It is preferred that the applicant be 18 years old with childcare experience.
• Genuine love for babies and toddlers.

Responsibilities

• Arrive 30 minutes before event begins to set up room.
• Greet parents and child warmly at the door calling the child by name (if known).
• Ensure diaper bags and other belongings are marked with child's name.
• Check for nametag on child.
• Check for diaper change needs, and be aware of signs of discomfort.
• Comply with security check-in and out procedures as outlined in training manual.
• Interact with children through age appropriate toys, books, music, etc.
• Attend mandatory training meeting (annually).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursery Supervisor.

Job Position: NURSERY CAREGIVER

(Position Description - part-time, hourly, non-exempt, administrative, and at-will)

Scope of Position

Provide loving care to Crossing Community Church Nursery children (0-3years) to lay a firm foundation of faith in the lives of the babies and toddlers. In a very real sense you, along with their parents, are their first picture of God and His love for them.

Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the Pastor, Kids & Students - Mayfair

Responsibilities

Schedule

• Usual work days are Sunday and as needed for special events.
• Typical Sunday hours: 8:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform physical activities that require the ability to stand, sit, walk, lift, balance, reach, stoop, kneel, bend, feel with fingers, talk, hear, hand/eye coordination
• Requires considerable use of the arms and legs for a period of 3-4hours
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time
• Be able to walka long distance (up to a quarter mile)
• May be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses
• This is a safety sensitive position where the employee holding this position had the responsibility of his/her own safety and the safety of others including minors

Education & Experience
