Job summary

Riverside Health in Gloucester, VA is seeking a Nursery Care Attendant to provide attentive care for children in our nursery and to build strong rapport with parents. This role reports to the Youth Programs Manager and supports a safe, welcoming environment during shifts.

Responsibilities include monitoring care areas, greeting families, and ensuring smooth transitions during drop-off and pick-up times. AED certification is required within 30 days of hire.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• Licenses and Certifications: AED certification within 30 Days (Required)

• Attends special children care events.

Hiring Range $12.80 - $16.63/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

What you will do

• Supervises and controls all activity in the children's care area so that a safe environment is maintained.
• Attends special children care events.
• Greets each member and child when dropping off and picking up, so, that the transition is easy for the parent and child.
• Interacts and plays with each child, at all times, so the child is always content.
• Checks receipt of payments from each person according to membership status.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)
• Licenses and Certifications: Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
