Job summary

The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work in our Main House. The staff nurse will perform duties per CHP, OCFS, and ORR policies, including processing Treatment Authorization Requests and arranging medical care for children.

Qualifications include an active NY RN license, AS/BSN in nursing, CPR/First Aid, and experience with children (some psychiatric exposure). Competitive benefits and a supportive work environment are offered.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be First Aid and CPR Certified.
• Must have nursing experience.
• Valid New York State Driver's License with a good driving record.
• Relevant experience working with children.

• AS or BSN in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Tuesday.
• Saturday 2pm–10pm, Sunday.
• Monday OFF.
• Coordinate and maintain medical records and treatment authorizations per policy.

We are currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work in our Main House.

Position Summary

The staff nurse assumes those duties assigned in accordance with CHP, OCFS, and ORR policies and procedures, including but not limited to processing Treatment Authorization Requests through ORR's medical insurance provider, maintaining community relationships with medical providers, maintenance of records, arranging and securing medical care for children, disease reporting requirements for care providers, immunizations for children, monitoring children's health needs, executing physicians orders, assisting children in preventive health care and personal hygiene, caring for sick children, and assessing medical needs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Schedule: Tuesday
• Saturday 2pm-10pm, Sunday
• Monday OFF
