Alliance Health at West Acres is a non-profit skilled nursing facilitywith an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse to join our management team as the Nurse Unit Manager. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, can effectively communicate with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, physicians, and other employees. Responsibilities:
· Works five days per week overseeing the unit. As needed, provides administrative supervision for the facility during the weekend, holiday coverage and On Call coverage.
· Ensures staffing meet patient/resident needs
· Oversees accuracy and timeliness of all required Medicare and Medicaid documentation.
· Performs PI monitoring activities as established by Nursing Department and PI Council. Ability to direct and implement promotion of PI concepts.
· Make daily nursing rounds on all patients/residents of unit and rounds with Physicians as possible.
· Participate in Interdisciplinary meetings, resident/patient family conferences, discharge planning, and other meetings as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· RN or LPN nurse with 2+ years Supervisory experience.
· Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
· Effective written, verbal, and technological communication.
· Demonstrates organization and communication skills.
· Ability to conduct themselves with a fair, honest, consistent, and professional temperament.
· Exhibits independent and self-directed work ethic with the ability to lead others
