Qualifications

• Must hold Maryland RN license at appointment.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing; diploma route acceptable with 4+ years inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
• At least 2 years of progressively responsible inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour operational management of the unit.
• Manage expense budgets of assigned clinical programs and staffing strategy to meet census targets.
• Respond to changes in patient acuity and census to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment of care.
• Utilize clinical expertise in direct patient care, consultative activities, staff development, and treatment planning.
• Participate in marketing activities, promoting effective team-building, quality improvement and strong orientation toward customer relations.
• Supervise nursing, rehabilitation services, and support staff.
