Job summary

The Nurse Technician at Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. provides patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse in the Med/Surg float pool during the night shift (7p–7a) with rotating weekends. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requires high school diploma or GED and completion of a Nurse Technician or CNA program. CPR is required within 30 days of hire; 0–6 months related health care experience is considered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Nurse Technician Training or CNA program.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
• 0–6 months related health care experience preferred.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Performs procedural tasks and assists with ADLs.
• Observes and reports patient condition and needs promptly.
• Documents treatments and vital signs legibly.
• Transports patients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Participates in unit PI and educational activities.
• Attends mandatory in-services and maintains unit standards.
