Location: 6082 Grand Lodge Ave, Papillion, NE 68133

Service Line: Hillcrest Country Estates Cottages

Schedule: Full-time Days

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for compassionate, dependable, and self-directed Nurse Techs to join our team at Hillcrest Country Estates Cottages in Papillion, NE.

Hillcrest Country Estates Cottages is part of the Hillcrest Country Estates campus and provides skilled nursing, long-term care, and post-acute support in a warm, home-like environment. Our cottage model allows team members to build strong relationships with residents, guests, families, and coworkers while providing meaningful, personalized care.

At Hillcrest, our mission is simple: Inspiring people to live their best lives. As a Nurse Tech, you will support that mission by providing direct care, observing changes in guest condition, communicating with the nursing team, and helping create a positive experience for every resident and guest.

What You’ll Do

As a Nurse Tech, you will be an important part of the nursing team. You will provide hands-on guest and resident care, support daily routines, and help ensure each person feels safe, respected, and cared for.

You will:

Provide direct personal care to assigned guests and residents according to their care plans.

Assist with bathing, dressing, undressing, hygiene care, perineal care, foley or ostomy bag emptying, and barrier ointment application.

Complete and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight according to facility standards or direction from the interdisciplinary team.

Assist guests and residents with ordering, receiving, setting up, and eating meals in a comfortable dining environment.

Complete all care according to the guest or resident care plan.

Carry pagers and answer call signals timely and professionally to determine and meet guest needs.

Observe guests and residents for changes in condition, behavior, or needs and report concerns promptly to the nurse.

Develop positive rapport with guests, residents, and families to support an outstanding experience.

Work with the nurse on new transitions to ensure rooms are ready with needed equipment, fresh water, and other supplies.

Write therapy schedules on guest whiteboards to support meal planning and daily routines.

Complete transfers by reviewing the appropriate mobility program selected for each guest.

Perform medication tech duties when credentialed and required to pass medications.

Communicate clearly with nurses, therapy, families, and team members to support safe and consistent care.

Help maintain a clean, organized, and supportive care environment.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, accountable, and motivated to put residents and guests first.

The right candidate will be dependable, self-directed, and able to stay focused on quality care without needing constant reminders. This role is a strong fit for someone who takes ownership, follows through, and understands that teamwork in healthcare requires professionalism, respect, and a positive attitude.

Ideal candidates will have:

An active CNA license in the state of Nebraska.

Experience working with older adults and providing personal care services in long-term care, post-acute care, hospital, senior living, or a similar setting preferred.

A strong commitment to resident and guest dignity, comfort, safety, and quality of care.

Accountability and follow-through with care, documentation, communication, and daily responsibilities.

A self-directed work style with the ability to see what needs to be done and take appropriate action.

Motivation to support residents, guests, families, and team members with patience and respect.

Strong communication skills and the ability to report changes or concerns promptly.

Strong attention to detail with care plans, vital signs, safety, and documentation.

A team-first approach with the professionalism to communicate directly, respectfully, and solution-focused.

The ability to stay calm, flexible, and focused in a fast-paced care environment.

A positive attitude and commitment to contributing to a respectful, supportive workplace.
