Corewell Health is seeking a part-time nurse for the Cardiovascular Recovery unit in Grand Rapids. The role focuses on immediate post-operative care for cardiac and cardiothoracic patients during the first 24 hours after surgery.
Day shift with 20 hours per week and rotational weekend coverage. The position emphasizes bedside nursing, patient monitoring, dressing care, and coordination with ICU and Progressive Care units to transition patients safely.
Our Cardiovascular Recovery Room is a small unit within Meijer Heart Center, specializing in the recovery of cardiac/cardiothoracic surgery patients, for the first 24 hours after their surgery. We are close nit team trained in critical care. The day shiftworks with the patients as they come out of surgery, and the night shift helps the patient transition from our unit to either the ICU or a Progressive Care Unit.
This will require 11 weeks of training and being available for 2 weekdays Monday through Thursday, as well as rotational weekends which would be Friday & Saturday.
