Required License/Registration/Certification: Registered Nurse (RN) and must advance on UKHC Nursing Professional Advancement ( NPA ) within 6 months of hire and annual resubmission required throughout employment in this job title.

Physical Requirements: The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.

Shift: Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hrs/wk); other hours/schedule as needed.

Job Summary

The Division of Pediatrics is seeking a Nurse Team Leader for the Division of Pediatric Genetics and Metabolism to manage daily clinic flow, provide direct patient care, as well as day-to-day oversight of nursing and clinical staff.

In addition, this position will work closely with the division chief and providers to create, maintain, and implement clinical protocols and procedures to ensure continuity of care. The Nurse Team Lead works closely with the Practice Manager and Nurse Clinical Manager to operationalize ambulatory clinic issues, nursing directives, scheduling templates, protocols, and staffing models.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Basic computer knowledge, MS Windows, Word, Outlook, and clinical applications; supervisory experience, detail-oriented.
