Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to lead inpatient rehabilitation services with a focus on compassionate, individualized patient care and team leadership. The role emphasizes developing and implementing care programs, coordinating between administration and clinical staff, and ensuring high standards on shift coverage and patient outcomes.

The Nurse Supervisor will guide nursing teams, deliver performance feedback, and maintain strong patient relationships to support recovery.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required by state regulations.
• BLS certification with ACLS within one year of starting.
• CRRN certification to be obtained within one year of meeting eligibility requirements.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Two years of recent inpatient hospital experience (within last five years).
• Previous leadership role such as charge nurse or lead capacity with accountability for patient and staff results.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
• Supervise nursing care, treatment, and services provided during assigned shifts or on a specific unit.
• Monitor and manage staff, including on-the-spot feedback, annual evaluations, and administering performance counseling and discipline.
• Assume patient care as needed and build meaningful relationships with patients to support recovery.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
