Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing care on a rehabilitation unit and ensure compassionate, evidence-based patient services. You will collaborate with administration and nursing leadership to implement procedures, coach staff, and guide teams toward exceptional patient outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS (ACLS and CRRN within one year), and prior inpatient hospital experience, with a preference for those who have led teams and improved care processes.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure required by state regulations.
• BLS certification with ACLS due within one year of starting.
• CRRN certification to be obtained within a year of eligibility.
• Two years of recent inpatient hospital experience.
• Previous leadership role (charge nurse/lead) with accountability for staff results.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
• Supervise nursing care, treatment, and services during shifts or on a unit.
• Monitor staff performance with on-the-spot feedback and formal evaluations.
• Provide patient-centered care and build relationships to support recovery.
• Support team culture and celebrate patient progress.

• Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting (within the last five years).
• Previous leadership role, such as charge nurse or lead capacity, where you were responsible for interim reporting, issue resolution, setting direction, and having accountability for patient and staff results.
