Centerstone is seeking a Nursing Supervisor in Saint Louis, MO. The role combines clinical leadership with hands-on patient care, overseeing RNs, LPNs, and Medical Assistants while partnering with providers and leadership to ensure top-quality care and compliant operations.

The ideal candidate will lead staff development, coordinate workflows, and drive quality improvements within a mission-driven health system dedicated to community well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing as RN or LPN.
• Current Missouri nursing license in good standing.
• RN candidates: 2+ years in a physician office or outpatient setting preferred.
• LPN candidates: 3+ years in a physician office or outpatient setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to RNs, LPNs, and Medical Assistants to foster high-quality patient care.
• Deliver direct nursing care while assisting providers with exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Educate and counsel patients and families on healthcare needs and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and coordinate medical records retrieval.
• Coordinate departmental workflows for efficient operations and quality patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Medical Assistants to foster high-quality patient care and professional growth
• Deliver direct nursing care to patients while assisting providers with examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures
• Educate and counsel patients and families regarding healthcare needs, treatment plans, and health management strategies
• Collect patient histories, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and coordinate the retrieval of medical records from outside providers
• Perform laboratory collections, prepare patients for procedures, and complete special clinical procedures as needed
• Coordinate departmental workflows to ensure efficient operations, timely completion of tasks, and quality patient experiences
• Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and develop clinical staff while supporting employee engagement and retention efforts
• Complete employee performance evaluations, supervision records, and individualized training plans
• Lead staff meetings and facilitate open communication throughout the department and organization
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, quality indicators, and organizational standards
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement and implement strategies that strengthen departmental performance
• Collaborate with providers, clinic leadership, and interdisciplinary team members to advance organizational goals and patient care initiatives
• Support strategic objectives and drive positive change within the department and organization
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Integrated Health Services Education, Experience, and/or Credential

Credential Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Current Missouri nursing license in good standing
• Registered Nurse candidates: Minimum two (2) years of experience in a physician office or outpatient clinic setting preferred
• Licensed Practical Nurse candidates: Minimum three (3) years of experience in a physician office or outpatient clinic setting preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred

Physical Requirements

• Perform sedentary work with occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects
• Sit for extended periods while performing clinical and administrative duties
• Occasionally walk or stand as necessary to support patient care and clinic operations
• Perform repetitive movements of the hands, fingers, and arms for typing, documentation, and other job‑related activities
• Maintain the physical ability to safely perform essential nursing and supervisory responsibilities in a clinical setting
