Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily delivery of patient care, as well as the quality of nursing practice and the standards of care in the Main Operating Room. Ensures continuity and congruity of services through coordination of the overall surgery schedule, supervision and direction of staff, facilitation of responses to physician orders and the acquisition of equipment & services. Serves as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, and patients. Additionally, incumbent reviews data and devises effective control mechanisms to ensure the environment fosters safe patient care.

• 5 years Operating Room experience or 2 years Operating Room experience with additional experience as a service coordinator, charge nurse or other supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated supervisory experience working in an acute care setting
• ANCC recognized RN certification uniquely applicable to this specific unit, (general certifications, such as WCC, will not be acceptable for meeting this requirement).
