Duties:
  • Provide direct patient care in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory surgery centers.
  • Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and medical history.
  • Assist with procedures such as tube feedings, wound care, and dialysis.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management and self-care techniques.
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems (such as Epic) to document patient information accurately.
Skills:
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to assess patient conditions and make critical decisions in emergency situations (such as in the ER).
  • Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Attention to detail in documenting patient information, including ICD-9 codes for accurate billing.
  • Experience in specialized areas such as ophthalmology or ambulatory surgery centers is a plus.
