Job summary

Royal Oaks Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse (Float) to deliver safe, trauma-informed nursing care to children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, monitor patient progress, provide education to families, and support staff growth. This role offers an overnight schedule (7:30 pm–8:00 am) and a $4,500 retention bonus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• At least one year of psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver trauma-informed, patient-centered nursing care for children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate individualized care.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient progress, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Mentor and support new nursing team members to promote professional growth.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and continuing education efforts.

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

Work Experience/Training/Additional Requirements

At least one year of psychiatric experience preferred

Licensure/Certification

RN or GN that must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation required
