Job summary

Rosecrance Mulberry Site in Rockford, IL is hiring registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs) to join our behavioral health team. You will provide nursing care within the treatment program and help translate recovery into daily living, partnering with staff and families.

Starting pay varies by education level (LPN $30/hr, Associate’s $33.50/hr, Bachelor’s $35.00/hr) with a 36-hour work week on a rotating schedule from 7:00am to 7:30pm and an onsite work location.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN or LPN license required.
• Strong documentation and computer skills required.
• CPR certification or within 3 months.
• Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, staff or community.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to scheduled hours and fulfill additional hours as necessary to complete duties.
• Provide nursing care and manage designated clients in the treatment program.
• Document to maintain client service records in compliance with regulations and Rosecrance policy.
• Coordinate and oversee nursing activities for assigned clients.
• Maintain adherence to Rosecrance Medication Management Plan.
• Deliver education or lectures on medical topics for clients, family, staff, and public.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and outside providers.
• Participate in infection control activities and maintain current infection control techniques.

Position Summary

Provide nursing care for patients and exemplify and reinforce the concepts of the treatment program. Participate as a team member in the delivery of addictions treatment services to patients and their families and facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations.

Qualifications

• A current Illinois RN license, or a current Illinois LPN license
• Adequate written skills to accurately complete required documentation within the timeframes prescribed
• Computer proficiency required
• Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare record within prescribed time frames
• Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, staff or community
• CPR training or complete within three months

Responsibilities

• Adhere to prescribed work hours set by leadership and fulfill additional hours as necessary to complete assigned responsibilities.
• Responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse’s obligation to provide optimum client care.
• Promotes, advocates for and strives to protect the health, safety and rights of the client.
• Assume nursing case management responsibilities for designated clients.
• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of nursing activities for assigned clients.
• Adherence to Rosecrance Medication Management Plan including medication identification, procurement, storage, education, administration and monitoring.
• Provides education and/or lectures on medical topics for clients, family, staff and public as necessary
• Builds and maintains professional relationships with colleagues, interdisciplinary teams and outside providers.
• Assess physical and medical needs of assigned clients.
• Be sensitive to and act upon any medical or emotional crisis.
• Document to ensure the client service record is maintained and in compliance with all applicable regulations and Rosecrance policy.
• Document and follow through with all physician orders and communicate with client’s personal physician as required.
• Participate in Infection Control activities and maintain knowledge of current infection control techniques.
• Able to demonstrate competent use of all medical equipment and technology
• Maintains appropriate therapeutic and professional relationships
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities as assigned.
• Maintain annual certification in Healthcare provider CPR.
• Serve as a member of the Nursing team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
• Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
• Perform all responsibilities in compliance with the mission, vision, values and expectations of Rosecrance.
• Able to provide culturally competent and exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
• Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
• Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Schedule

• 7:00am to 7:30pm, rotating schedule with every other weekend. (Full Time - 36 hours a week).
