Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process and professional standards. You will deliver nursing services, assess needs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes.

The RN will perform staff nurse activities and may act as charge nurse when assigned. Florida RN licensure, BLS and ACLS are required; BSN is preferred with progression within three years of hire.

Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served.

Required Education

Specific Course Work

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• New hires effective June 14, 2017, must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position.
• New hires or transfers into in the position between August 1, 2013 and June 13, 2017 must abide with the conditions in his or her offer letter and the verbiage in the job description signed upon hire or transfer into the position.
• Current employees who were hired or transferred into the position prior to August 1, 2013 will be grandfathered.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Existing employees are required to have the certifications by December 31, 2018.
• ED Fellowship RN's must obtain their ACLS, PALS and NRP within six (6) months of hire or transfer.
• CEN or TNCC preferred

Required Experience

• Less than 1 year experience for EDFP Fellowes only.
• 1-2 years of Emergency Department or ICU experience as a Registered Nurse

Preferred Experience

• 3-5 years of Emergency Room experience
